Nigeria has recorded two additional deaths from COVID-19 with 241 new infections across eight states and the Federal Capital Territory.

This increased the country’s infection toll to 252,428. About 3,126 people have died from covid-19 related complications.

This comes as the World Health Organisation announced that one person died of the Covid-19 pandemic every twelve seconds in the last week.

Director-General, Tedros Ghebreyesus, stated this at the 150th session of the WHO’s Executive Board in Geneva, Switzerland.
