I'll be doing a series of 4 videos on the guitars that I'll use in my pedal demos. First up is my Epiphone Vivian Campbell signature Holy Diver Les Paul. It's a fantastic high output guitar.
The signal chain for recording was the Holy Diver into a Tech 21 NYC Richie Kotzen Fly RK5 Fly Rig. Delay, reverb, and overdrive are supplied by the RK5. The RK5 is going into the front of a Supro Statesman on the red channel. The Statesman is going into a Rivera Rock Crusher Recording load box. The line out from the Rock Crusher is going into a Focusrite Scarlett interface, and I'm recording in Ableton. The Rock Crusher's EQ is set using Rivera's guideline for "the characteristics of an original Electrovoice EVM 12L with an SM57 on the edge of the dust cap".
And yes, I know that I'm not actually playing the riff from Holy Diver.
