White balancing a camera is telling it what true white is in a scene. The camera then adjust color temps to accurately balance your image out.

White balancing the pocket cinema cameras is a walk in the park. They give you run and gun presets, auto and custom white balance modes.

And the coolest part? If you're shooting BRAW and using Resolve you can adjust the white balance in post. So yes, white balancing is great. But if you forget or don't have time? No big deal. But only if you're shooting BRAW and using Resolve.
