I've got a free color chart to match Stampin' Blends and cardstock. This Stampin' Blends color chart is by no means fancy. It's handmade - no fancy gridlines, no typed text. It's a result of an experiment. Let me explain.
I'm a huge fan of the alcohol based Stampin' Blends Markers. They provide flawless coverage leaving behind no streaks or lines like a regular marker would. This means the detailed, "sketched" lines defining an image aren't lost as they would be when using a dye-based marker.
Stampin' Up! offers Stampin' Blends colors individually (light or dark) or as a combo (light and dark). Each color producing a slightly different tone. I began pulling out several shades of Stampin' Blends Markers, scribbling on Thick Whisper White cardstock, looking for a shade that would coordinate specifically to Melon Mambo. Not only did I find one for Melon Mambo, I found numerous others that coordinated with cardstock colors that didn't have Stampin' Blends colors!
Please keep in mind that this color chart was created prior to the new annual catalog (June 4) so there are two colors represented that are now available in Stampin' Blends - So Saffron and Gray Granite. And there's an additional "missing" Stampin' Blends I haven't experimented with yet - again, since this was created prior to June 4 - and that's the Terracotta Tile. I image, however, that one of the Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends Markers will work famously! This coordination explains why Stampin' Up! didn't offer every color in a Stampin' Blends Marker!
I cut a 1" square of cardstock and adhered it to a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock. I scribbled the closest matching Stampin' Blends Marker to the right of it. I repeated this process of all the colors I could think of (prior to June 4). Write the name of the cardstock color on the cardstock swatch and the name of the Stampin' Blends shade above the scribble mark.
This cross reference Stampin' Blends color chart - as crude as it is - has been a lifesaver when I busy coloring in images and wonder "what would match". I'm using it faithfully and I'm hoping you can, too.
