Extreme fatigue, baby brain, feeling overwhelmed and getting run down are things many of us accept as ‘part of being a Mum’ but they’re also key signs and symptoms of postnatal depletion - which happens when we don't recover from pregnancy after the birth of our babies.
Pregnancy takes a huge toll on our bodies and then with the extra demands that come with being a Mum, it can be hard to take care of ourselves and actually recover from pregnancy. This is a recipe for us burning out and entering into that state of Postnatal Depletion.
In this video we’re going to cover what is Postnatal Depletion including:
- What are the signs
- What are some of the factors causing it
- 5 simple and highly effective steps you can take to recover, support your postpartum recovery (and the years after)
These are tried and true steps that helped pull me out of postnatal depletion 3.5 years ago with my first daughter and what's supporting me second time around with my 9month old.
*Don’t forget your free New Mama Health Guide to tie this all together, linked below*.
I love chatting about this because it’s important for Mums to know that while yes, there will be days of overwhelm and tiredness, we can recover from those days quickly and overall feel healthy, balanced and happy.' We just need to make looking after ourselves easier (which I'll show you how!)
