New Delhi, June 6 (ANI): Congress-winning candidate from Thiruvananthapuram, Shashi Tharoor on June 6, supported the candidature of Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lower House of the Parliament. While speaking to ANI, he lauded Rahul Gandhi’s efforts during the two Bharat Jodo Yatras and said that his campaigning efforts were remarkable during the elections.
"I have made the same demand myself in the number of interviews today. So, I hope that heeds it and I would be happy to recommend that...After the two Bharat Jodo Yatras and his extraordinarily remarkable campaigning efforts across the country in this election, earned the right to be the star of the Congress party in the Lok Sabha. And I think that Mallikarjun Kharge is the leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha. Rahul Gandhi, being the leader of the party in the Lok Sabha would be fitting and would be appropriate." said Shashi Tharoor
