The Placer County District Attorney's Office amended the criminal complaint against a Fair Oaks fentanyl dealer on Wednesday, to add the charge of murder. Officials say 24-year-old Aaron Dare sold illicit fentanyl to a 25-year-old Auburn woman on August 31, 2022, which resulted in her death. District Attorney Morgan Gire told KCRA 3 Dare was originally charged with the sale of fentanyl that led to the death of the victim. "As with any case, the investigation continued even after the arrest," he explained. "That continued investigation resulted in our decision to elevate the charges."
