(NOTE: Forgot to mention, the scope base that comes with the Ruger American Line is a weird mix of picatinny and weaver. I am not a fan, and replaced it with an EGW 20 MOA picatinny scope base. It's a great base if you run weaver rings, if you want to run picatinny, you'll need to upgrade the scope base.)
