This dance was filmed in the 40's as homemovie in her garden in Los Angeles whre she lived with her husband Fred. Intended as showreel to get a job as a dancer.
Sheree managed to get a role as chorus girl in the film "Here com the girls" of 1953, featuring Bob Hope. She did some Broadway musicals and then got casted in the movie "Living It Up" (1954), with stars Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.
Later in 1955, she got the lead role opposite Betty Grable in "How to Be Very, Very Popular", a role that Marilyn Monroe had refused.
As Marilyn Monroe had her whims, 20th Century-Fox wanted Sheree to replace Marilyn, at that time their top of the bill female star. ¨The studio press agent pushed a cover line on Life magazien "Sheree North Takes Over from Marilyn Monroe". Despite all the efforts, the success 20th Century-Fox hoped for, didn't show off.
