Bryant announced in 2016 that he was partnering with former Web.com president Jeff Stibel and starting a $100 million investment fund that was set to focus on media, technology, and data related companies. The fund immediately had a portfolio of 13 companies through the 2014-formed Kobe Inc. and included companies such as The Players' Tribune, LegalZoom, and a video game design company called Scopely. In case readers were interested in joining, the fund is not seeking outside investment.
