In 2014, the oldest daugther of the Uzbek Preseident (Islam Karimov) had her businesses closed down and seemed to disappear off the face of the planet. This all happened while I (a brit abroad) lived in Uzbekistan. In recent years however, the truth has been revealed.
While I believe the details I have given are accurate, this is ultimately a westerner's perspective of what happened.
