Duck walks make a pregnant mother more flexible by improving the movement of the hips. They also help in reducing back pain and help maintain better body balance. Duck walks have proven to be excellent exercises for pregnant women. By strengthening thigh muscles, they help in reducing the pain women experience during delivery. Start slow. If you have been active it will be easier. Preferably hold your partner's hands and do it. It is easier. alternatively use a gym ball. You can also place your hands on the floor and try doing it. Do one or two rounds initially, slowly do a few more 3-4 times through the day. DO NOT unnecessarily push yourself. We don't want any pain or injury.
Try doing deep squats, deep lunges and duckwalks in the last few weeks (post 37 weeks) before delivery to be able to have a normal vaginal birth.
