What would happen if a nuclear power station was attacked and damaged? This is a serious concern with the war in Ukraine and the occupation of the largest nuclear power station in Europe. While experts are warning that this could be a serious threat to the whole of Europe [1-5] little has changed about the situation. This is the first time that a nuclear power station has been in a war zone, and has grim consequences if something goes wrong. Experts have been warning that this could be an extremely serious issue [6,7] and that it could be worse than the Chernobyl disaster. In this video, I discuss some of these threats. I briefly discuss the events of Chernobyl [8-10] and Fukushima [11] and how these relate to the current situation in Ukraine.
This situation is a very real threat to many people and the conditions are always changing. By the time you watch this the situation may have changed, I hope change is a positive one.
