Trevor Watkis, one of UK's greatest young pianists and composers, presents a new work 'The Art of Melody -- Please Can I SWING!' that explores the language of jazz music and it's rhythmical and melodic aspects resulting in an exciting and engaging musical expression.
The set fuses the culture of jazz music of the USA with some of the finest UK based jazz musicians, who have drawn from influences of the Caribbean and Africa.
As well as pieces from the debut album; 'Straight Ahead...Ride For Tone!', there will also be a celebratory composition especially written for and dedicated to Martin Luther King and American President Barack Obama.
