The deputy commander of Ukraine’s Azov Regiment said he and other fighters are staying in the Azovstal plant, according to a brief video message released on Thursday.
It was unclear how many Ukrainian troops remain inside the steel plant's tunnels and bunkers.
Meanwhile, the around 1,700 Ukrainian soldiers that have surrendered so far since May 16 have been relocated: the injured are hospitalized and being treated; the healthy have been taken to a former prison facility and kept under custody there.
