KOB Eyewitness News 4 got a call Wednesday evening from a woman who said she had been waiting in the emergency room at University of New Mexico Hospital for more than 30 hours.
Her claim is that she's bleeding internally and no one is helping her.
Monique Rivera says she got to the emergency room at 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and was told her internal bleeding is not a priority compared to other injuries coming in.
Rivera says she was diagnosed with intestinal bleeding in February and was scheduled to see a specialist in the middle of March. She says the pain was so unbearable Tuesday afternoon that she rushed to the emergency room.
