While many Bosnian Serbs are fleeing Sarajevo ahead of the Bosnian
government takeover of Serb-held suburbs, on Wednesday (27/12) one
family has returned to be reunited in the war-torn city.
Three years ago, as fighting around Sarajevo intensified, Nevenka
Boskovic said goodbye to her daughter and mother as they joined a
special convoy from the Bosnian capital to Montenegro.
They stayed in Montenegro until Wdnesday, when, after a day long
car journey, they saw each other again for the first time in
three years. Riding in a Rec Cross vehicle, Nevenka's daughter,
18 year old Masa, returned with her 71 year old grandmother Jelena
to a tearful reunion. The reunion came about after the Red Cross tracing agency stepped in and helped arrange the proper documentation.
