This is a Carl Fischer/ Bohland & Fuchs EEb subbass tuba.
Bore: .800"
Bell: 18"
Height: 38"
Weight: 26.2 lbs.
The first valve slide is about 47 inches long.
It's a beast of a tuba and the only known example of an EEb subbass tuba. The other EEb is a Helicon called the Majestic Monster, imported by Malecki.
This EEb tuba was likely built for the American market, as it lacks a kranz. It also may have belonged to a university starting with "I", such as the University of Iowa, Indiana, or Illinois. If anyone has information regarding this, please let me know in the comments.
