His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales has been meeting soldiers from the Queen's Dragoon Guards (QDG) at their new base in Norfolk.
The regiment recently moved into the former Royal Air Force Base at Swanton Morley after 14 years in Germany.
Nicknamed The Welsh Cavalry, the regiment was formed in 1959 by the amalgamation of 1st King's Dragoon Guards and the 2nd Dragoon Guards (Queen's Bays).
It has spent much of its history based in Germany, but also had squadrons dispersed throughout the Middle East while the regiment served during the Aden Emergency in 1966 and 1967.
The QDG operate on Jackal armoured vehicles however, they are equally as effective on their feet.
Their role is primarily in finding the enemy and understanding the areas in which they operate.
Manoeuvrable and agile, the QDG can be deployed anywhere in the world and adapt quickly to new environments.
