Over the years we have been asked for a "simple", small and "portable" way to ring between two standard UK landline telephones, without the need for a telephone line or internet connection (just a power supply).
We tested all the "Telephone ring generators" we could find and nothing matched the required criteria so in the end we decided to develop our own software solution using relatively inexpensive "off the shelf" hardware (12 months of work).
These simple units are now used in "Escape Rooms" on stage, TV, museums, telephone collectors and interactive art exhibitions.
This device was particularly useful when we needed to demonstrate 2 original (pulse dial) candlestick telephones for the Channel 4 TV program "Find It Fix It Flog It", as they had no landline connection in their workshop. See the short "trailer" video [ Ссылка ]
