Salutations Ladies and Gentlemen! Today, I'll be discussing a very peculiar knife from a brand rather new to me; Claude Dozorme. Claude Dozorme is a French cutlery company based in Thiers and founded in 1902. The brand has a fairly wide selection of knives, including a variety of pocket knives.
The Capucin is an extremely interesting model. Dating back to Medieval times, the Capucin is a design native to the Ariège Pyrenees. The handle is supposedly shaped after a Monk's hood. Being a very simple knife, the Capucin found favour among shepherds and peasants.
X50CrMoV15 stainless steel (leaf) spear-point blade. Olive wood handles. Steel pins and pivot. Tightening key included. Made in Thiers France.
Overall, the Capucin is quite the intriguing knife, and the execution by Claude Dozorme is rather impressive, as well.
