So lets see how to make Papparoti homemade coffee bun .
Ingredients
For the dough
All purpose flour -1 and 1/4cup
Instant yeast - 1 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Milk (Lukewarm) - 110 ml or 1/2 cup
Half egg - 26 gram
Softened butter - 30 gram
For the Coffee Cream mixture
Softened butter - 30 gram
Caster Sugar - 1/8 cup or 2 tbsp
Coffee powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Warm water - 1 tsp
All purpose flour - 1/4 cup
Egg(half portion)- 26 gram
Instruction
1.Beat one egg and divide this in to two different bowl and set aside.
2.In a large bowl Mix all the dry ingredients and combine well
2.Add half portion of beaten egg and warm milk and mix , Mix until sticky dough forms
3.Add in softened butter and knead for about 15 minutes or until the dough becomes soft and elastic. This dough may seem very sticky but after kneading for about 15 minutes it will turn in to a smooth dough
5.Place the dough into a lightly greased Bowl and cover it and proof for 1hour or until it doubled in size.
6.Meanwhile prepare coffee cream mixture for the topping
7.In another bowl add room temperature butter and sugar and mix well until fluffy
8. Add prepared coffee liquid and all purpose flour and mix well till it turns smooth and refrigerate this until you use it on the bun.
9.Now take out the dough which is doubled in size and cut and divide this in to 4 pcs and shape into a ball and place this on a tray and cover it ,keep it aside for 15 min
10.Place frozen butter cubes in the middle of the dough and shape into a ball and place on baking pan lined with baking paper.
11. Cover the shaped bun and let them rest for 1 hour
12.Pipe a layer of coffee cream mixture on top of each bun
13.Bake at 180 for 16-18 min
