Ingredients
2cups all purpose flour
2cups Bread flour
1/2 cup sugar
5 tbsp. butter melted
1tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 cup fresh milk (warm)
2 1/4 dry yeast
1tsp. salt
1cup bread crumbs
1pc. raw egg
1tbsp cooking oil
PROCEDURE
1. Combine the yeast, sugar & warm milk and stir until the yeast & sugar are fully dissolved
2. Combine the dry ingredients starting w/ flour, sugar , salt & baking powder. Mix well by stirring.
3. Add the egg, melted butter, cooking oil & Yeast, sugar, and milk mixture. Mix again until dough is formed. Use your clean hands.
4. In a flat surface, Knead the dough until texture becomes fine
5. Mold the dough until shape becomes round then put back in a mixing bowl. Cover with damp cloth and let it rise for at least 1 hour.
6. Put the dough back to flat surface & divide into 3 or 4 equal parts using a dough slicer
7. Roll each part until it forms cylindrical shape.
8. Slice the cylindrical shaped dough diagonally. (these slices will be the individual pices of pandesal)
9. Roll each part of sliced dough over the breadcrumbs and place in baking tray with cooking sheet
10. Leave the sliced dough with bread crumbs in tray for another 10 to 15 minutes to rise
11. Pre heat the oven at 180 C or 375 F for 10 minutes
12. Bake for 15 to 18 mins.
