It takes a death defying tower climber to change the light bulbs at the top of giant TV towers. It's one of the most dangerous jobs. William Singleton climbs the tallest broadcast towers in the southeast, night or day, rain or shine. He's a tower climber in Atlanta, Georgia. It's a tough, exhausting job and it can be terrifying at the top because the towers sway. The worst thing is you have to carry all your equipment and supplies with you. If you forget, it's a long way down. The only way to interview him was to climb an 1100 foot tower and talk at the top. This story aired on Channel 2 Action News in 1976.
