Ingredients:
600 g (1.32 lb) pork meat
4 potatoes
300 g (10.50 oz) cabbage
1 carrot
1 beetroot
1 onion
0.5 bell pepper
100 g (3.50 oz) beans
1.5 tbsp tomato paste
2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp vinegar
1.5 tbsp vegetable oil
2.7 liters (11 glasses) water
Fresh dill and parsley
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Recipe:
600 g (1.32 lb) pork meat
Bring the meat to a boil and remove the foam
100 g (3.50 oz) soaked kidney beans
Boil the soaked beans over low heat for about 1 hour
1 onion
1 carrot
1 beetroot
2 garlic cloves
4 potatoes
300 g (10.50 oz) cabbage
0.5 bell pepper
1.5 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp vinegar
240 ml (1 cup) water
Mix everything
1.5 tbsp vegetable oil
Fry the onion over medium heat for 3-4 minutes
Add grated carrots and grated beets
Fry over medium heat for 10 minutes
Add garlic and tomato mixture
Stew over medium heat for 10 minutes
Add chopped potatoes and chopped cabbage
Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes
Add borscht dressing and chopped bell pepper
Add salt and ground black pepper
Boil borscht over medium heat for 10 minutes
Chopped fresh dill and parsley
Add sour cream to taste
Sprinkle with greens
Ukrainian borscht is ready
