An overview of UNESCO’s activities in Bamiyan in 2023
There are many challenges which face the long-term preservation of the World Heritage Site of the Cultural Landscape and Archaeological Remains of the Bamiyan Valley (2003) that have the potential to negatively impact the Outstanding Universal Value of the property. UNESCO has undertaken various measures to mitigate against potential damage from such threats with the support of several donors, including the Governments of Italy and Japan, amongst others. This video presents an overview of the ongoing actions in 2023.
