Wildlife Canyon Scenic Byway from Lowman to Banks, Idaho.
December 3, 2016.
Much of this area was burned over by the Pioneer Fire, the largest fire of 2016 in the United States. The fire started in July, blazed through over 188,000 acres, and wasn't completely doused until snow started to fall in November. This was our first trip back through the area after the fire, and we were pleased to see a mosaic of different burn intensities, which will make the impact on wildlife a little smaller and the recovery a little easier.
You can see the famed Skinnydipper Hot Springs at 2:36. They're closed to the public for now because people can't seem to keep their garbage out of the water feature.
Music from Andrew Applepie.
