Youth against Trafficking Campaign
A Pool of Trainers in the field of combating Human Trafficking has been established in the scope of the Youth against Trafficking project which was implemented jointly by the Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS), Armenian United Nations Association (AUNA), Global Youth Union Foundation (GYUF) and Association of Audio-Visual Reporters (AAVR). The Project was funded by UNDP Anti-trafficking Program of Armenia.
30 students and young NGOs representatives from different regions of Armenia and Yerevan took part in a 5-day Training of Trainers (ToT) held from 7-12 October in Yerevan. The training sessions were conducted by the UN, IOM, OSCE, ARCS, AUNA and GYUF experts of the field and covered topics such as:
• Legislation, National Action Plan
• Actuality of the problem in Armenia
• Types of Trafficking typical to Armenia
• Human Rights Aspects in Human Trafficking
• National Referral Mechanism
• Project Development and Implementation
• Effective Communication Skills
• Project Management
The PoT will become a long term experience sharing mechanism to support any initiative to secure specialized assistance to various organizations in their AntiTrafficking initiatives.
It is also aimed to equip young people with knowledge and skills enabling them to avoid being trafficked and to mobilize their potential in combating trafficking.
