What is Lipo Sculpting? What is Body Contouring?

Lipo sculpting is basically a procedure which combines both Lipo suction and Fat grafting. So it's like a sculptor, we are going to modify the body by removing fat from one area but add fat to another area to give you a better ideal shape or the shape that you are looking for.

It is not a procedure for everyone, its for a specific subset of people in whom we see that the body shape that they want is not there. So what you do is when you are doing a lipo suction and reducing the fat and contouring the body, you see that some areas are still not in shape. So, instead of throwing the fat away, you can use the same fat to augment those areas. These are typically for areas for which we dont have implants that you can use. Most commonly the procedure that we do is the Brazilian Butt Lift where we are doing liposuction to actually reduce the waist and add the fat into the buttocks to give you a better curve at the back. Also sometimes we see in the younger population because of various reasons, there are deep hollows on the buttocks on the sides called the "trochanteric hollows" and the hips dont curve out like how a feminine curve is.
In a man you can see a V shape which comes down to the waist and from there its straight down, where in a women we have something called the "hour glass' figure which is supposed to be more ideal kind of look you are looking for. There is the chest and then the waist goes in and the hips spread out again.
Many a times because of how the growth occurs there isn't enough of a curve of the hips. Of course when we do liposuction of the waist, it goes in and the hips look broader but sometimes because of the muscle attachments you have a hollow on the sides of the butt called the "trochanteric Hollow" and that makes it look more manly. So, we try to fill that out to give a more feminine contour. That is lipo sculpting. We are trying to sculpt the body into the shape that you want and we are using your own fat, so instead of throwing it away we are using the same fat and giving you a better shape.

Sometimes the same you can for Calf augmentation. Some people when wearing skirts they notice that the inner calves are too thin and doesnt look very shapely. So you can use the same fat and do a lipo and inject the fat into the calves to augment the calf to give you better shapely legs

So all these are things that are done in LipoSculpting. So basically it means taking fat from one area and then adding it to other areas to sculpt it or shape it to get the shape that you want. Most commonly done for the butt and the calf but you can put the fat anywhere that is required because its your own fat.

That is Liposculpting or Body contouring, there are various names for it.
