I never thought I'll own a pair of Birkenstocks. The chunkier sandal has been on the rise for about two seasons, and is now in full force. If you have a look you’ll see sandals with the description: birkenstock, two strap sandal, chunky sandals & ugly chunky sandal. I don't promote participating in trends that will only last one season. If you see this trend only being part of your closet for one season, I would recommend sitting out on this one. I on the other hand hope to wear mine for more seasons to come; even if it's not part of my street style in too many future seasons I could definitely see myself wearing mine at home or for a casual grocery run.
