June 14 (Bloomberg) -- "Man of Steel," the new Superman movie, set a record before even one ticket was sold: It had the most promotional tie-ins ever, with more than 100 companies paying around $160 million to get close to the man in blue. Bloomberg's Rachel Crane reports.
