The Butler County Coroner has identified two people dead after a murder-suicide.
The coroner says Samantha Bowling, 30, and Pedro Corcino, 31, were found dead at a home on Rockford Drive Friday afternoon.
According to police, Corcino shot and killed Bowling, and then took his own life.
Police have not said if they know what led up to the murder-suicide.
Investigators believe it could have happened as early as 5:48 a.m., however, the bodies weren’t discovered until after 9 a.m.
911 calls reveal it was Bowling’s father who made the discovery.
"He killed her and killed himself,” he can be heard yelling in one of the calls.
One woman told dispatchers she went to check up on Bowling, who was a registered nurse, after she didn’t show up to work.
“I was on my way from work to check on her because she didn’t show up, and she never doesn’t show up,” the woman said.
Local 12 couldn’t confirm what Corcino and Bowling’s relationship was at the time of the murder.
However, records show she’s lived at the Rockford Drive home since at least 2019, and that Corcino has also used that address in the past.
Bowling leaves behind a seven-year-old daughter. It’s not clear if she was inside the home at the time.
Neighbors say Saturday was the first time they’ve seen police at the home.
Corcino has no criminal history.
