#pw50
The Yamaha PW50 is a great bike, let's get that on record right away! It's the first bike for almost every budding motocross racer, and the first class a little racer will be riding in if they decide to hit the track between 3-6 years old. The only issue is that these little bikes have suspension that was certainly not built to handle the motocross track, so what do you do when your kid decides he likes jumping his PW50? Well, aftermarket forks are non-existent for these bikes, but luckily Yamaha upgraded the forks on the 2017+ models of PW50's. With a few parts from the 2017+ PW50, you can retrofit the earlier models with the newer oil-filled forks from the newer models and add a little better bump absorbing capabilities to your little riders bike. Here's how I did it.
