These recipes are based on the Wartime recipes cookbook by Elizabeth Craig. I have tried to keep them to as close to the originals as possible and they are in my opinion frugal but delicious!

I have used egg in a couple of the recipes as specified in the instructions but you could use dried egg if you want to be authentic to the war time conditions. I hope you enjoy a taste of the Scottish wartimes.
