Anyway, I think it's the best way. Those screw holes have plastic going right through, so no risk of making contact with the live parts inside if you drill holes that are not too big.
The great thing about this is how easy it is to do and how well it holds the bar in place.
As with everything else you are likely to see on this channel, use you own judgement as to whether this method will work best for you. Some cheaper bars are just glued together, and others have the holes in odd places.
