My experience:
I was NOT a certified MA. I just applied everywhere, had a good cover letter and learned on the job. Other options to help land you an MA position that I’ve heard of is doing an EMT or phlebotomy course to up your chances
“Good quality vs not as great” PCE options:
Of course the not as great ones are accepted by schools. I’m not saying they’re not or that schools look at them any lesser than other PCE. I mean in a way that prepares you for the information that you will learn in PA school. You aren’t as exposed to doctors or PAs as a CNA. When I worked as an MA I worked first hand with a only a doctor and sometimes the PA every single day and they would teach me a lot. No hate on CNAs, I just think you learn more in other PCE options ☺️
