Do you make your own dog food? Do you or do you not add grains? In this session Dr. Judy clarifies whether or not grains should be added to dog food. She first tells the difference between mitral valve disease and dilated cardiomyopathy since this is where the debate began. She then clearly states that dogs do not require grain to be in their diet. However, grains may be added for various reasons. Dr. Judy then warns that cats are very much different in that they must eat meat and do not do well with vegetarian diets at all. (Recorded 7/21/2020)
