Josef Blosche was a member of the Nazi Party who served in the Waffen-SS and SD during World War II. Blösche shot and killed many Jews and sent many more Jews to their deaths in extermination camps. He participated in mass execution in Russian Soviet Eastern Front. He participated in the suppression of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. His brutality included raping and killing of women in the ghetto. He was arrested and put on trial in Erfurt, Germany in April 1969. He was convicted of crimes against humanity and sentenced to death. Blösche was sentenced to death and executed by a single shot through the neck or in the head in Leipzig on 29 July 1969.
