Economic Freedom measures the degree to which a country relies on individuals, families, entrepreneurs, business-owners, and workers to make economic decisions rather than politicians, bureaucrats and regulators. In 2020, Denmark ranked 5th in Economic Freedom out of 165 countries, and ranks highly for its legal system and protection of property rights, free trade, limited regulations and stable money. But it ranks among the lowest country in the world for its size of government.
