In this video, Keith Barker covers how to configure the EIGRP routing protocol within the context of an IPv6 Cisco network. He also shows you how to verify the configuration. He further explains all the things that make this process different than doing the same thing on an IPv4 network.
After watching this video, you will know the three basic steps that you will need to perform to configure the EIGRP routing protocol on an IPv6 Cisco network. You will also know how this differs from configuring it on an IPv4 network. The first step is setting the EIGRP router ID on the router, which is new for IPv6. Keith then shows you how you must start the routing process using the no shutdown command. Finally, he explains how you must put interfaces into EIGRP using the interface configuration mode. He afterward goes through the several steps you should take to verify that the configuration was completed correctly.
