As you know our power utility Eskom is battling to keep the lights on, just two weeks ago the country was hit by Stage Four load shedding.
Now, the public enterprise's ministry and Eskom say that they are confident they be able to keep load shedding to just stage one over the winter period. This morning public enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan said that this would require hard work and that people needed to save as much power as possible. But Eskom also needs another two hundred and fifty billion rand to resolve its problems and pay back its debt.
