The Pima County Historic Courthouse was designed by architect Roy Place and built-in 1929. Its iconic mosaic dome has become one of the most recognized structures in the region, but this isn’t the only thing that has made this courthouse famous. In 1934, John Dillinger and three of his gang members were held in this facility for four days, during that time the Courthouse made headlines across the nation.
