On May 27, 2020 4:33pm EDT the Crew Dragon capsule atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch out of Cape Canaveral, Florida and ferry two NASA astronauts, Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken, to the International Space Station. The mission, designated Demo-2, marks the first time in almost a decade that a launch from American soil will take NASA astronauts to the ISS, and certifies the Crew Dragon for operational, long-duration missions to the space station.
Modeled in FreeFlyer, this historic moment is visualized. FreeFlyer is already used operationally for ISS operations such as orbit determination and collision avoidance and is here to support the next generation of commercial partners as they prepare to launch humans to the ISS, the Moon, and beyond.
