If you're 50, 60, or 70+ years old, you need to understand this concept.
Losing your quality of life and daily function is a one-way ticket to an early death.
Some studies show that once you break a hip, you have a higher likelihood of dying within the next 6-12 months.
I tell you this because I don't want that to be you or someone you care about.
So, how do we avoid this?
1) Resistance train – at least 3X per week. You need to stimulate muscle tissue to AT LEAST preserve it, let alone increase it.
2) Increase your protein intake – most people are deficient, and as we get older, our protein needs increase. So, make sure you are getting at least 30 grams of high-quality protein with each meal.
3) Improve posture and function – don't let tight hamstrings and/or poor posture start to compound and limit your movement. Spend 10 minutes every morning/night stretching and keeping your body agile.
