This is a quick video on making nitric acid. The sulfuric acid reacts with the potassium nitrate to form potassium sulfate and nitric acid. The potassium sulfate is a solid, and the nitric acid is not, so the nitric acid can be distilled off. This nitric acid is well above 70% pure. Be sure to follow the disclaimer at the beginning.
