Adding ELEMENTAL attacks to my classic FPS style game - VR Devlog #5
Hey everyone! Welcome to my fifth devlog for "ModMasks" - an indie virtual reality action game that I'm solo developing using the Unity game engine and the oculus quest 2. In this devlog, I pick up directly where we left off in the fourth devlog where I created some environmental objects such as moving platforms, mask spawns, and breakable walls. But now, I think it's time to focus more on the enemey encounter design side of things if we truly want to make this feel like a classic FPS style game like Quake or DOOM when it comes to combat. In this devlog, I go over the beginnings of developing a sandbox to work in as I pursue these goals, as well as introduce some new mask powers!
