In conventional ring spinning, fibres in the selvedge of strand emerging from front roller nip do not get fully integrated into the yarn because of the restriction to twist flow by the spinning triangle. These fibres show up partly as protruding hairs or as wild fibres.
With Zinser CompACT3 you can process nearly all fibre types and blends. Following the drafting process in the classic 3-cylinder-2- apron drafting system, a drafted fibre strand emerges. This fibre strand has undergone a lengthwise draft in the drafting system. The fibre strand is additionally widened by the nip lines. This spread fibre strand is then transferred to the downstream CompACT3-zone. The important elements of the CompACT3-zone are the perforated apron with the suction unit and the drive for the compact apron. The apron with the special vacuum element ensures the correct air current. The drive shaft with the pressure roller provides the correct sliver tension
