Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam delivered her second annual policy address to the city’s legislature on October 10, 2018. She was first met by protesters outside the building. And on entering the chamber, she was confronted by opposition lawmakers shouting and waving banners, calling for press freedom, a universal pension scheme and no land reclamation east of Lantau. Some were removed by the security guards. Others walked out.


The press conference afterwards revolved around the controversial Lantau reclamation and the national security legislation.
