Blackmagic has come out the gate with the awesome new format Blackmagic RAW (BRAW) that gives you full post image control in a .mov file along with small file sizes. Because of this, we now have access to using cheap memory cards like the Sandisk Extreme Pro V30 95MB/s and 170MB/s on the BMPCC 4K! This camera truly is AMAZING!

In this video I tested out the Sandisk Extreme Pros (V30) mentioned above, along with two popular V60 SD Cards, the Lexar 1000X and the Amplim 1900X 285MB/s. I go over how many minutes of record time you get out of these memory cards on the Blackmagic Pocket 4K. I also go over what frame rates and BRAW Compressions (like 12:1, 8:1, 5:1 and Q5 Constant Quality) work on these SD Cards and include sample test braw footage I shot.

UPDATE: It looks like the Sandisk has been having issues with dropped frames if you are using it on a gimble at 6fps DCI 12:1. I still haven't had any issues on my end, but my shooting has all been on tripods.
