This video features CA-49 north in El Dorado and Placer Counties in California's Gold Country. The video begins in the small town of Coloma, where gold was first discovered in the American River at Sutter's Mill on January 24, 1848. We then continue our journey north as we pass through the communities of Pilot Hill and Cool before descending into a canyon where we meet the confluence of the North and Middle Forks of the American River and enter Placer County. We also see the Foresthill Bridge towering high above the canyon below. We then pass through the city of Auburn, the county seat of Placer County before we finish the video off by driving across the Foresthill Bridge, the tallest bridge in California and fourth highest in the U.S. at 730 feet high. This video is a remix of Episode 33 of the 2021 Season as the video was blocked on YouTube due to issues with copyrighted music used in the video.
